  • Explore the Cultural Cascades! Amtrak Cascades links the cities of Vancouver, British Columbia; Seattle; Tacoma; Portland; and Eugene, forming the Cultural Cascades region that provides a gateway to endless exploration.
  • Visit Tacoma's public market, Freighthouse Square , with dozens of off-beat and original shops. You'll find imported ethnic gifts, fresh flowers, jewelry, art, books, collectibles, an international food court, handicrafts, clothing, specialty coffee and more.   • Tour the Washington State History Museum located at 1911 Pacific Avenue. The museum is home to the largest collection of pioneer, Indian and Alaskan artifacts on the Pacific Coast.   • Explore the Tacoma Art Museum at 12th and Pacific Avenue. The Antoine Predock-designed building features flexible exhibition space in a series of galleries that wrap around an open-air interior stone garden. The galleries showcase the museum's permanent collection; American, European and Asian art; and traveling national and international exhibitions.   • Attend an event at the Tacoma Dome , one of the largest wood domed structures in the world. The Tacoma Dome hosts over one million guests annually, and with its attached Exhibition Hall, hosts over 300 days of events every year including sports, major concerts, family shows, and several tradeshows.
