New Seattle-Portland Round Trip
Begins July 1
Starting July 1, 2006 Amtrak Cascades offers more choices, more options, and more convenience with an added mid-day round trip between Seattle and Portland. To accommodate the additional round trip, some Amtrak Cascades schedules have changed:
Passengers traveling between communities north and south of Seattle
now have a much shorter layover at King Street Station.

Layover time for southbound passengers will be reduced from 60 to 25 minutes.

For northbound travelers, layover time is reduced from 90 to 20 minutes.

Day-trippers from the North Sound region have three more hours in Seattle.
They now have nearly eight hours to shop, conduct business,
or visit family and friends before their return trip.
