Can we bring
food on the train?
Yes, groups may bring food on the train. Due to Food and Drug Administration
regulations your food cannot be heated, stored or consumed in the Bistro car.
Food is also available for sale in the Bistro.
Only 6 students of any age are allowed in the Bistro and Lounge car at one time
and they must be accompanied by a chaperone.
How much will it cost to add an
additional passenger?
Once your request is submitted, additional participants
may be added at regular published Amtrak fares by making separate reservations.
Due to capacity limits in each coach car, we cannot guarantee seating will be
in the same car.
If you find you need additional tickets, please contact
Amtrak for assistance.
Can persons
with separate reservations be seated with the rest of the group?
Due to capacity limits in each coach car, we cannot guarantee seating will be
in the same car.
What if we want to include an
infant or toddler in our group?
Children under 5 years old must be accompanied
by an adult (not listed as a chaperone).
Separate reservations for children under 5 years old, and adults accompanying
them, must be made at regular published Amtrak fares. Tickets can be purchased
by visiting www.amtrak.com or
by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL.
Can we store ice chests or
boxes at the departure or destination station?
Yes, storage is available for $2.00 per piece in Everett, Edmonds, Seattle,
Tacoma, Centralia and Vancouver, WA and at Portland, Salem, Albany and Eugene,
OR stations. Some stations have limited storage space and various hours, please
ask for complete details if you need storage at your origin or destination.
Note - Perishable items cannot be stored overnight.
What if the ticket is lost,
stolen, destroyed, or forgotten?
If your tickets are lost or stolen, contact
Amtrak as soon as possible.
