Explore the Cultural Cascades! Amtrak Cascades links the cities
of Vancouver, British Columbia; Seattle; Tacoma; Portland; and Eugene, forming
the Cultural
Cascades
region that provides a gateway to endless exploration. Visit the website for
the most up-to-date events.

Bring your bicycle
to Eugene, one of the most bike friendly cities in the country. It offers over
53 miles of streets with bike lanes, 19 designated streets just for bicycles,
and 25 off-street trails. Six bike bridges cross the Willamette River.

Visit the Eugene Saturday Market, the oldest weekly open-air crafts
festival in the United States. The first Saturday Market was held on May 9,
1970; it rained, and there were 29 vendors. Today, the market has over 800
active members and 300 members sell each week.

Explore the outdoors
within an hour of Eugene. Wilderness areas with pristine lakes, breathtaking
waterfalls, picturesque streams, glaciers, sprawling lava fields, hot springs,
and rolling sand dunes surround the city. If you want more adventure, Skinner
Butte, just a few blocks north of the train station, is an ideal location for
rock climbing.

of the four museums on campus, or cheer for the Pac-10 Fighting Ducks.
