Located in the fertile Willamette Valley, Albany lies between the Pacific Coast and Cascade Mountains. Historic Albany Station, built in 1908, was recently renovated and is now a central transfer point for trains, buses and cars.

3. Local Happenings

  • Take a step back in time on a heritage tour of Albany's extensive historical district. You'll see hundreds of Victorian homes and other relics of the past. Call Flinn's at 541-928-5008 for narrated tours of the area or go on a self-guided walking tour.
  • Explore the Albany area on your bicycle. Approximately 45 miles of the 195-mile Willamette Valley Bicycle Loop runs through the Albany area. Make reservations for both you and your bike on the Amtrak Cascades.
  • Fish in the many rivers and streams in the Willamette Valley. Whether you're looking for world-class fly-fishing, or an afternoon spent dangling a hook and soaking up the sunshine, Albany has a fishing hole for you.
